Obtaining appropriate permits from the Migration Service

As we know, foreign nationals must obtain a work permit and a residence permit from the relevant state body in order to work within the Republic of Azerbaijan for a fee. For this, the state has requirements in this regard. The required documents must be prepared and submitted to the State Migration Service. These formalities must be conducted by the company that employs the foreign worker or by a person appointed on the basis of a power of attorney or by a consulting company.

To obtain a work and residence permit, official documents must be collected and a state fee must be paid.

The amount of the state fee for obtaining a work permit is as follows:

- in case of issuance or extension within ten working days

Up to 3 months - 700 manats;

Up to 6 months - 900 manats;

Up to 1 year - 1400 manat.

- in case of issuance or extension within fifteen working days

Up to 3 months - 500 manats;

Up to 6 months - 700 manats;

Up to 1 year - 1200 manats.

- in case of issuance or extension within twenty working days

Up to 3 months - 350 manats;

Up to 6 months - 600 manats;

 Up to 1 year - 1000 manats.

The amount of the state fee for obtaining a residence permit is as follows:

For issuance and extension of temporary residence permits to foreigners and stateless persons in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan

- in case of issuance or extension within twenty working days

- in case of issuance or extension within fifteen working days

According to Article 566 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a fine of 30 manat is imposed for loss or intentional damage of documents for temporary residence in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
